Cecil was raised in Pageland and attended Petersburg School, where he demonstrated an early aptitude for leadership and responsibility. These traits carried him into his professional life, where he worked diligently as a manager and in transportation for a turkey farm in Jefferson, South Carolina. His dedication and hard work were admired by all who worked alongside him. Cecil's life was not only defined by his work but also by his passions. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as listening to music, fishing, and hunting. His love for the outdoors was only surpassed by his love for spending time with family and friends. He was the life of every gathering, his laughter echoing the longest and his stories the most captivating. Cecil's family was his pride and joy. He leaves behind his loving children Cecil Melton of Michigan, Crystal Blakeney of Charlotte, and Scott Melton of Bennettsville. He was preceded in death by his son Kelvin Ingram. He is survived by his siblings, his brothers Butch and Richard Melton, and his sisters Lynette Fernandez and Beverly Thornton. Each of them played a significant role in his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Cecil was a man who lived his life with a positive outlook, always seeing the best in others.
