LIFE REFLECTION
CHARLES HOLLOWAY, SR., affectionately known as Billy, was born September 20, 1932, in Washington, Georgia, to the late James (Jimmy) Holloway and the late Blanche (Bay) Cunningham. He was the little brother of the Late Sadie Mickens. He was educated in the Charleston County School District. He enlisted into the United States Air Force in 1950 where he served for 3 years and later enlisted in the United States Army where he served for 18 years. Charles Retired Honorably from Active Duty in October 1973 and hailed as a Vietnam War Veteran.
In 1975, Charles had a life-altering encounter with God and became a born-again believer under the leadership of the late Apostle Helen Smith, Founder, and Elder Ronald K. Anderson, Pastor of Cainhoy Miracle Revival Center, Huger South Carolina. During his tenure in various ministries in South Carolina and Georgia, he served faithfully and with much dedication and passion. Charles evolved into a dynamic, prolific, and profound teacher of the Word of God, and was elevated and ordained as an Elder and Assistant Pastor in the Lord’s Church.
On Thursday, March 12, 2020, Charles transitioned out of time into eternity to be ever-present with the Lord. He leaves to cherish his memories, his Loving Wife, Leola Holloway, seven Children: Larry Steele, Anees (Bernard) Diaab, Joanne (Jethro) Banks, Jerry Holloway, Charles (Joyce) Holloway, Jr., Barbara (Melville) Alexander, Brenda Holloway, longtime family friend Geneva Holloway, 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends
