Dorothy (Robinson) Boyd

Dorothy Robinson Boyd 75, was born on March 16, 1945 to the late Reece Robinson and Rosa Bell Burch Robinson in Chesterfield County, SC. She went home to be with our Heavenly Father on August 14, 2020 at home surrounded by her family. Dorothy accepted Christ at an early age. She joined Salem United Methodist Church, Pageland, SC. Dorothy was united in holy matrimony to the late Ernest David Boyd and she was mother to 6 children. Dorothy was a very loving mother to all her children. Dorothy “Mama” was a caregiver, a home maker, and an all around amazing mother. She was the Jewel of the family. She was everybody’s mama and auntie. She will be greatly missed. Dorothy leaves behind 6 loving children who she cherished with all her heart, 5 boys, Billy Ray Robinson and Bobby Ray Robinson of the home, Larry (Sharon) Robinson of Pageland, SC, Johnny Ray (Kisha) Robinson of Monroe, NC, and Ray Charles (Shirley) Robinson of Mt. Croghan, SC, one daughter, Nancy (Greg) Robinson of Pageland, SC, two sisters Betty Joan of the home and Shirley (Vick) Barrett of Marsville, NC., five brothers RV Robinson and Theodore Robinson of the home, David Robinson of Monroe, NC, Riece Mandy (Laura) Robinson of Pageland, SC, Reece Junior (Lynn) Robinson of Wadesboro, NC, 17 grandchildren, two special grandchildren, Cedric Chambers and Andrea Chambers of Pageland, SC, a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Earnest Boyd, her father and mother Reece and Rosa Bell Robinson, brother Earvin James Robinson, granddaughter Sasha Nicholson and Darrius Robinson.
