Jerry Collins Obituary

MR. JERRY I. COLLINS, son of the late Jeremiah Collins and the late Lizzie Townsend Collins was born March 2, 1948, in Sumter, South Carolina.
Jerry graduated from Rowland High School in 1967. After graduating he married and moved to Charlotte, NC to raise his family. Jerry began working for Zagora Gear as a machinist and did so for 38 years. He was so proud of his job and knew he was the best machinist money could buy.
Jerry married Emma Anderson Collins on November 9, 1996 and became a member of Myers Tabernacle AME Zion church. Jerry was a lifetime member of the Modern Free & Accepted Masons of the World, Inc. He served as a worship master for more than 20 years.
When Zagora closed, he began working for Northeast Tool & Manufacturing, where he retired in 2020. Jerry was a respectable man to his co-workers and family and will always be "JC from the QC."
