Luis Garcia Obituary

Obituary

Mr. Luis M. Garcia was the first born to Altagracia Ortiz and Rafael Garcia. He was born July 31, 1965, in New York City, NY. He is the older brother of Wanda Brauner, whom is five years younger than him. Both children grew up together in a loving home with their mother in Uptown Manhattan, NYC.

At an early age he was very curious about the world and genuinely enjoyed people.

Luis went through Elementary, Junior, and High School with many people that enjoyed his company. He was a good friend to many and was able to establish many long-life friendships. He was a real lover of life and the many friends he came across.  He was the type of guy that would give away his last glass of water to someone that he thought needed it.--- Not just needed it more than he did--- but basically who he thought looked thirsty.

He graduated from John F. Kennedy High School, situated in Bronx, NY and moved on to start his own business, as a tailor in downtown Manhattan. There he met many more friends that enjoyed his kindness and joking persona. He did many jobs related to driving, as cab driver, truck driver and even a bus driver. Recently, he embarked on starting his own Car Transportation business here in Charlotte, NC.

Luis met Leida around 2005 and their first date was at a local church, Our Lady of Guadalupe. Their relation flourished though their love of God and family. They married a few years later.

Luis enjoyed spending time with his family, going to the beach and lake trips with his local church. He really enjoyed going out to eat. He loved socializing with all his friends and family through Facebook, WhatsApp, messenger and of course texting. He even had a TikTok, Snapchat and Instagram account. A true lover of social media, --- so that he could connect to all his beloved friends and family members.

On January 31st, he was called by our savior, after fighting a short but fierce fight with pancreatic cancer.

He is survived by 5 beautiful children, his oldest, Christian Spenser Garcia, Luis Manuel Garcia Jr, and 3 wonderful girls, Luz Damaris Garcia, Laura Del Carmen Garcia and Wanda Guadalupe Garcia. He is survived by his wife Leida Martinez and his sister Wanda Brauner, along with close aunts and cousins as well.
